Andrea Collante

Colombian artist Andrea Collante creates mixed-media works in which the artist combines a range of materials into sculptures. Currently, she uses techniques borrowed from traditional textile embroidery, focusing on organic movement, the simplification of forms, and the use of prefabricated and removable modules. Her degree in architecture influences her work as she explores concepts such as space, order, shadow, volume, and geometry. These concepts and ideas are translated into pieces that have been conceived in harmonious and symmetrical balance.​
