ABOUT THE ARTIST

David Morsman is a Kentucky-based abstract painter who’s been practicing quietly for over 30 years. His work usually centers around large-scale abstract expressionist paintings meant to portray a sense of energy, movement, line, and blasts of color. Morsman briefly studied art and art history at the University of Louisville and Western Kentucky University, but he considers himself a self-taught artist. He has shown work at the Mellwood Art Center, KMAC Museum, Zephyr Gallery, and the Capitol Rotunda in Frankfort and hangs in many homes as well as the corporate art collections of Brown- Forman, First State Investments, and the Heine Bros. Corp, to name a few.
